Setup costs - Year 2

Hello,

I created an account and had a French data SIM for a month last year.

Looking to repeat in 2014, and am wondering why I have to pay another round set-up costs, as I was told last year this was to set up my account, and this would be re-used in future.

I accept some delivery is fair - but the full £10 seems a bit steep!

Hi Sean,

We basically have a 12 month contract with Orange France that we divide into 12  x 30 day plans so you can use for a short rental period. We are charged for termination and re-connecting each SIM, each month, hence the admin / set up & delivery charge occurs every time.

Hope that clarifies things.
Yes it does - shame that existing account holders could not be slightly discounted, as presumably no new credit check is required. Anyway:
1. What's the current lead time - I need the card for mid July
2. Does the contract start on activation in France (ie, can I buy this now for mid July start?)

Hi Sean,

Lead time is 48 hrs but you can order now and defer delivery until nearer the time. It is active on delivery.
