i will be receiving my usa sim soon .will it effect my iphone when i put in .and is the unlocking a nightmare

 As long as you get your iphone unlocked properly it should not be a problem and will mean you can swap SIMs as you require. Please refer to the user guide for the SIM for any specific details.
