iPhone 3GS on Orange for New Zealand

Leaving for New Zealand in 5 days. Can my iPhone 3GS be 0044-enabled for when we're there? Does the micro-SIM make this impossible? If 'yes' I suppose I'd to go a NZ phone shop to do the unlocking.   And on return to UK, does refitting the Orange SIM reset it to normal UK operation?

Hi,

You need to get your handset unlocked before travelling - bestto do this at a local independent mobile shop in the UK. The New Zealand SIM and our global SIM will both work in an Iphone althogh data is expensive in NZ on the global SIM. If you have an iphone 4 you'll need to request a micro-SIM after you order but an iphone 3 will accept a standard SIM. The NZ SIM offers cheaper data and top ups are bought locally.
